In August 2022, Brazoria County Pride initiated a monthly coffee social at a local coffee shop, with the goal of fostering a sense of community and creating a safe space where LGBTQ+ individuals could freely express themselves. This event, held on the first of every month, quickly became a cornerstone for local LGBTQ+ members and allies, providing an inclusive environment where people could connect, share experiences, and support one another. The coffee social not only promotes camaraderie but also reinforces the commitment of Brazoria County Pride to nurture a welcoming and affirming community for all.

Brazoria County Pride has seen remarkable success with its monthly coffee social in the following years. This event, which began as an intimate gathering of a couple of individuals, has grown in popularity, attracting an increasing number of participants eager to connect and share in the community spirit. Due to the overwhelming demand, we had to relocate to a larger venue to accommodate the expanding crowd at the beginning of 2024. The new location provides ample space for attendees to mingle, fostering an even more inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. This move marks an exciting chapter for Brazoria County Pride, reflecting the vibrant and supportive nature of our community.
